No idea on how to get it made but my first thought is call a school. How does junior achievement get all their stuff manufactured anyway? Hmmm. It’s a good question. It’s not like people can really just call up factories and say “Can yo make this?” But evidently someone does. The question is who. An agent? A laywer? If you want to market it though, perhaps you can take the route of an ever growing number of church members who ignore that “for church use only” on ward rosters to mail out flyers for their websites, businesses, and baby/bridal shower announcements. I say that last part tongue in cheek. PLEASE don’t use ward rosters. It’s unethical and annoying and unfortunately, too common. As for the jewelry, good luck and have fun. |
PDE, I’ve got a friend in the ward here in Pennsylvania who does jewelry type stuff. I’m not sure if she can do what you ask, but you can ask her yourself if you like. You’ve got my email (it’s required to post comments here). Email me and I will get you in contact with her. |
Go to China. You can have chi-com slaves cranking them out in a week, and have a shipping container full of them roll in to San Pedro in about a month and a half. |
Thank you, nee. You can relax; I wouldn’t have thought of using the ward roster and even though you thought of it for me, it’s still not something I’d do. Besides, if I can get it made I can just wear it to church and be my own advertising. :) O.O NO way I could get it made by Christmas but I just realized it would make a great gift fo the girls I teach. GST, did you know you’re apparently named after an unpopular tax up in the Frozen North? I just noticed that. Dan, thank you. Check your mail box. :) :EDIT: I’ve been looking and can’t find an address I’m sure is yours. Do you also post as Danithew? |
PDE, Send an email to bluejack74@yahoo.com. I’ve got like a bazillion emails, and that is one I check often. |
Eve, I’m extremely intrigued about your idea and what it looks like. After you get it done, share with us, okay? I bet more Mormons would be interested in something like this. |
PDE, I just emailed you about my friend. I hope it works out for the two of you. :) |
Will do, annegb. Will definitely do. :) |
I’m interested in what your design might be – but would never wear or display anything related to the cross as I think it is a grave transgression in that it leads many to think of the evils of the Romans when we are to look to the life (not death) of the Savior. I think a lot of sisters around here would be most interested in a design that crosses over all religions – possibly one that builds up a sisterhood between religions than of “one”. Our leadership suggests we work to find commonalities in humanity as we interact with our brothers and sisters instead of building up the display of personal icons that separate. Recently, Orrin Hatch went to the Holy Land and buried a cross in a symbolic attempt to put away visuals that divide Muslims, Jews and other religious groups. This is the trend that many “cutting edge” Christians are becoming aware of. We’re lucky to be leading the trend – so I’d caution not to fall backward in your attempt. |
Give me a break. |
