How cool! Naomi (a former student of mine and still a dear friend) is a treasure. Lucky MM!! |
Woah, hey Naomi when did you serve your mission to Romania?!?!?! |
Naomi–I look forward to hearing from you, even if I have to do it with the rest of the blog-reading world. |
Thanks for that nice introduction, DKL! And everyone else, thanks for your welcome. I’m excited to be joining some of my co-conspirators from The Blog That Must Not Be Named that went down in flames just about 2 years ago. I really like the people who frequent this blog, and I’m secretly hoping that Margaret Young will grade my posts, just for old time’s sake. I’ll be putting up my first post just as soon as I edit out some objectionable content (my husband brought up a few concerns after reading it last night :). In the meantime, it feels good to be home. PS How are things going, cousin Emily? |
DKL’s panzer tanks strike again as another mighty one is annexed to his empire!! |
Ah I found out when you served. I haven’t kept up with the more recent missionaries, well, ones from 1999 on. |
Excellent! I read one essay Naomi wrote a long time ago, still remember it, and can’t wait to read more! |
WOW! Welcome Naomi, I am so excited that you are back! |
So I take it you served in Romania too, Dan? Yes, I was there from 1999-2001, and I served in Sibiu, Bucuresti, si Timisoara. Mai vorbesti (sau citesti) limba romana? |
Bine inteles ca mai vorbesc limba romana. :) Eu sunt din Romania. M-am nascut in Medias, si am plecat cand am avut sapte ani. Eu m-am dus in misiunea mea din 1995-1997. Am fost peste tot. I visited Romania in the spring of 1999, and then October 2000 and then February 2002. I served mostly in Bucuresti, especially sector six. The Bucurs are my family, per se. I still keep in close contact with them. |
They’re a great family–one of the pillars of that district. Ce ma bucur sa am cu cine sa vorbesc limba romana! |
Si eu. Deci bine ai venit la Mormon Mentality! :) |
Great addition, MM. It’s good to see you posting again, Naomi. Welcome back to the wonderful world of blogging. Cousin Emily, That complaint sounds familiar. My dad complains that the only way he ever hears what I’m up to is by reading my blog. |
Welcome – we are sure glad you are here |
Welcome, Naomi! I was in DC/northern VA this summer (one of the many interns) and was really hoping to meet you–I was planning on saying, “I know who you are from the blogs, and I don’t hate you because of The Blog That Must Not Be Named!” But alas. So, since I didn’t get to see you in real life, I’m very happy to see you around the Bloggernacle again. |
Woo-hoo, welcome Naomi! The blog that must not be named will always be my favorite blog. No offense, guys. I guess I’m into fantasy. |
