Aaron I would have not thought of it that way. I guess one might also say it gives us some snootyness to hold over others. |
Aaron: Good point. There are a lot of people who have gone on vacations or who have health problems that we’d have no idea about but for their misunderstanding of what testimony meeting is for. I would have never known that a guy in my ward was a Nick Lachey fan had he not taken the opportunity to quote his lyrics during testimony meeting. |

Aaron, What I meant to say was that I would never have thought it something to be interesting to have people go all over the place with their testimony. My second line was more of statement that we (me included)enjoy ridiculing others who seek to give a “testimony” and I wondered if that is just intellectual snootyness. |

I always have assumed that people who hang ONLY temple pics, Prophet pics, and other church-approved posters on their walls do so because they haven’t got a clue about anythng artistic. |
At the same time, there are people who are spiritual who do hang those pictures. So don’t turn this into an indictment of FP picture hanging… |
